Notre Maison

That means "our house" in french. Finally, some pics of our new house. We're still unpacking boxes and it's definitely taking time to get everything settled in but, Leo and I feel very very blessed to get to live in this amazing home.

The front
My new favorite room in the house. I've got my seeds to start a garden, which I've never had, and plan on starting them in here soon before moving them outside in May/June.
Our front door. Dave and Dallas had the stained glass commissioned by some local artists.
The backyard. In the back is the hot tub deck.
Our deck out the side door. The gate is made out of nuclear core reactors. I have no idea?!?
Our wood powered central heat exchange. It keeps the house to a steady 80-85 degrees. Just the way we like it! :)
Our living room, still a little messy.
Our dining room and kitchen.
The library, still under organization. . . probably will be for a while. :)
The laundry room which leads to another bedroom, but currently it's all the "laundry room" which means if it's in here its probably clean.
1st upstairs bedroom. We're planning on turning it into a gym.
The upstairs bathroom.
The movie room/our bedroom for the moment. There is another bedroom upstairs that will be our bedroom eventually but for now it's full of Dave and Dallas stuff.

I think that's pretty much the whole house except the downstairs bathroom which has freshly bathed dogs in it so I didn't get a picture. I think the only thing left is the new convertible we got. It's a 2001 S2000 Honda. It's super fun and super small, one of the percs of not having kids. :)

I think that's the end of our tour today. My love to you all!!!!!

A Quater Century Already?

Well it's official, especially if you read Ashley's blog, she's the big 2-5. There are many interested "25" facts she found on wikipedia, none of which were any part of my 25 birthday. I love my sister and though we hardly see "eye-to-eye" on many topics it never ceases to amaze me the millions of differences between us. . . and I mean that in the most loving way. Thank you Ashley for showing me so many new and amazing things.
Levi planned an adorable surprise party and pulled it off. The "SURPRISE !" was actually a surprise!
I finally got to see a little "Ashley" coming out in our little Linc at the party. Instead of being his very out-going usual self he was totally cruising the edge playing and wondering around by himself. He loved the balloons and Ash has taught him how to hold up 1 finger when you ask "How old are you?", except he doesn't just hold up 1 finger, he's like ET phoning home, it's totally hysterical. What a cool kid.
This is an attempt at lovingly gazing at your husband/wife. She was very happy about the party. Cute.

This is my favorite picture of the day. Look at the guilt all over Ashley's face at the fact she's about to feed her little angel Safeway chocolate cake with buttercream frosting. Priceless.
Lincoln and Kay making duck sounds because there is pictures of ducks on the label. He has a pleathra of sound effects: duck quacks and elk calls.
Happy Birthday Sis!

Our usual Saturday

Just about every Saturday that Leo and I are home we take our dogs for a ride. We take them running a few times a week but on Saturday's we go to hang out. I usually pack the snacks, Leo packs the quad and the dogs run frantic circles around the house waiting for us to be ready. Directly up our drive way we connect with a series of logging roads, there is lots of cutoffs and we usually take one and then set up lunch.
This is Leo's setup. He loves packing a "structure" since we live in Oregon it rains most of the time and we need to be prepared. :) On this Saturday it rained and hailed on us. Whoopi!Leo and his emergency preparedness kit. Our best family picture.
Me and our "Mookie", Lexus.
